スタンフォード大学リーダーシップセミナーの様子を生徒の日記とともにお伝えします。

Although this is not entirely related to the trip, this was the most important thing that happened to me today:
I was texting several people on my phone, and some had sent me messages well-wishing me to do well – that was the highlight of my day.Although it may be just one simple word of 頑張れfor them, that one word was the source of all my smiles for the whole day!I realised that words like, ‘thank you’ and ‘good luck’ shouldn’t be used so light-heartedly, as that one word could be the little sprout of strength and happiness for the Receiver.
What we did today, the major parts of the day:
Today, we visited the Google Campus. A Japanese woman guided us around, and we were able to see and interact with some of the latest technology. There were many Android monuments around the campus, and we took photos with them, which will probably be uploaded later on.The Google gift shop consisted of many Google-logo-imprinted products, which I did not see as valuable enough to buy.
Checking in to the hotel, we visited the swimming pool and went to a pie shop nearby. I ate a $12 burger, and as usual I put a lot of black pepper on it. Meat should never be eaten without black pepper…
Later we visited the supermarket near the hotel which I found somewhat familiar, since Safeway was very similar in its environment and filthiness to Asda in the U.K..I bought an Arizona drink which I had always longed to get since the last time I bought one in Italy.
Today was one tiring day…
Tomorrow, we have our first Stanford Uni lesson. I hope we do well. (August 1 I.R)

It is the first time I have been to America.
Today we went to Google, and looked around the company. I was very surprised, and I enjoyed looking around the company. First, we were explained the system of Google map by an employee who is Japanese. I was surprised that if the car cannot reach a place by road, then people take the pictures using a machine that they carry on their back. After that, we went to the office. It was colorful and a lot of people of different nationality were working there. Everybody looked like they were enjoying their work. At dinner, many of us ordered hamburgers. It was delicious, but it was too much to eat. So a lot of people who ordered hamburger could not it eat all.
Today we only went to Google. So tomorrow, I hope to get a lot more experiences than today. (August 1 Y.K)
